? I have this pet peeve about diamonds, because they're overvalued by just a few companies and most of them that make it over here have been used in bloody African wars, AFAIK. Canadian ones aren't, but they're still overvalued.

I think if someone bought me a diamond it would be because they didn't know anything about me or what I believe in.

But I know, they are pretty.

And the Brazilian diamond prices are ruled by the foreign market. And guess who is the largest buyer (90%) of the Brazilian production of diamonds?

David chose my ring and got me exactly what I wanted, without even asking me anything. We have this friend here in Brazil, that we met online... her dad sells rings. So when David came to Brazil to visit me for the first time, she was waiting for him at the airport in São Paulo to give him the ring.

It's simple, with a cute diamont, and beautiful... I wouldn't want any other ring.

Everytime I look at it, it brings me back to the time we got engaged and our wedding, and I feel that intense feeling again and again. I didn't read the whole article, but it seems to me that this marketing idea is the same as they do on Christmas with Santa Claus and gifts. Everyone knows that the gifts are not the true meaning of Christmas, but that's what people care about in the end! And salespeople and businesses all around the world are really greatful for it!
