My story:

09/23/2002 - Met Chris online, there was something very special about this guy =0)

07/16/2006 - We got married in Reno, Nevada.

USCIS:

08/13/2006 - Filed for AOS, AP, EAD - they were VERY carefully packaged with a detailed cover sheet on top of each of the forms, just as VJ's instructions recommend. It was A LOT of work, but it did pay off! (we firmly believe this is what sped up our process big time)

08/31/2006 - Biometrics appointment

09/09/2006 - Received my AOS appointment date!

10/26/2006 - EAD touched and AP APPROVED!

10/27/2006 - AOS appointment at 7:30 AM! APPROVED IN EXACTLY 70 DAYS!!!

11/01/2006 - EAD approved

11/02/2006 - Email notification - greencard will be mailed as soon as it is ready! YAY again!

11/02/2006 - Welcome to the United States of America letter in the mail! Almost there! =)

11/06/2006 - EAD card and White card (a.k.a. greencard) arrive in the mail!

Journey Total Duration: 80 days

Filed for removal of conditions on 07-28-2008 and had them removed on 09-10-2008

Desculpa Nessa por não ter postado antes, mas só agora me lembrei:

Qdo vc chega no aeroporto, vá para a fila de US citizens... É isso mesmo!!! Vc não precisa ir na gigante fila dos não-imigrantes!!!

A própria moça q me atendeu na imigração, disse isso pra mim: 'Oh! You could have gone in the other line...'

Então não perca tempo na fila dos não-imigrantes, afinal de contas, vc está se tornando um!!!

Uma pena q só lembrei disso agora, mas a Nessa poderia ter ido junto com o Charles e talvez não tivesse tantas perguntas!

Boa sorte para as q ainda estão vindo pra cá,

Pode sim!!! A moça da imigração me disse enquanto comentavamos o tamanho das filas... E outra: faz sentido já q vc está vindo aki pra se tornar imigrante... É a mesma coisa q nem no consulado: eles dizem q o K-1 é visto de não-imigrante, mas vc tem direito a AOS e entrevista no segundo andar do consulado exatamente como os K-3 e CR1...

Nào se preocupe... A info veio da moça da cabine da imigração, ou seja...

Latest steps:

10/26/2006- Consulate receives case (seriously, one month to receive the case?? BS!), and packet 3 that I sent even before they had received the case.

01/02/2007- Interview!!!!!!!!!!!!! Got a 221(g)

01/23/2007- Second Interview. VISA granted!!!

01/29/2007- VISA arrived.... no envelope though. I'm gonna contact them and see what happened this time!

01/31/2007- I'll have to send them one last financial support evidence.

02/01/2007- Evidence sent

02/02/2007- Evidence received by Consulate

02/06/2007- Consulate sends envelope!

02/07/2007- Envelope received!!!

02/10/2007- Flew to the USA!!!!!!

04/17/2007- Wedding day!!!

Eu estava imaginando, afinal nao vim visitar, mas o Charles que me encaminhou para a fila de visitantes, se eu tivesse entrado sozinha eu iria mostrar meu passaporte e visto e perguntar qual fila, mas nao sei se me encaminhariam para a de USC.

Pois é, faz sentido, mas dá medinho mesmo. Acho que em Porto Rico as filas não devem ser gigantes, especialmente quase a meia noite, então acho que não vai fazer muita diferença.
