Carol is back yay!! hugs!!!

Meredith, my EAD took 3 months to be approved. It was the worst wait because I was at home without being able to work, it was driving me crazy. Now my AOS isn't touched since march 5th, and I have no idea what's going on. I really do believe they approve people or touch cases depending on their moods, maybe they look at pictures and decide by their looks, maybe they toss a coin, maybe they throw everything on a pile and randomly pick up one petition and work on that, no idea really, it pisses me off to see people that started the case after us getting approved, not because they got approved, i'm happy for them being approved, I'm mad at USCIS because USCIS says they handle the cases according with their arrival there. Huge BS.

Then people say maybe I'm on name check, why don't they send us a notification saying that and estimating the wait? Just so I can know they didn't lose my petition and they actually took a look and decided something about it. And why in hell would I be on name check? People here who knows may maiden last name know that is a very uncommon last name in Brazil, it's not even that common in Germany where my family came from, and certainly it isn't a name like Laden or Hitler

I don't know, but I'm glad I applied for EAD also, otherwise I have no idea what would be, I don't know if I would be able to handle this wait this long.

Me on the other hand didn't apply for EAD, just my AOS and it was approved really fast. There really is no rhyme or reason to how USCIS works.

Yay Carol! Did Mark tell you we were missing you? Don't disappear! :)

Thanks girls! That is what I thought - no rhyme or reason. I don't want Eliton to work w/out papers so I keep telling him to be patient. Today is day 46, so I guess we have another 5-6 weeks.

He tries to keep busy with other things - but we know that is not so easy.

And he doesn't want to 'fica nas costas da patroa'....you know?

Right, but if he works without the EAD, he's jeopardizing his stay here. 45 days is still pretty decent, hang in there!

Exactly - that's what I told him. He understands...so he is unemployed. There is no point in doing something illegally - plusssss, he'll be able to work in a few weeks.

I liked SkypeIn but they don't offer phone numbers in Manaus ::(:

Rey's AOS came quickly, and I'm sure there's no anti-Brazilian (or pro-European) bias. Remember, people wait two or three years sometimes. That's way too long, but all kinds of things can happen. If you get an EAD, not having AOS doesn't really affect your life that much unless you want to study.

Oi meninas...

Aí eu vi q ele não queria parar e ele tava começando a me tirar do sério...

Ele fez o meu dia hj!!! kkkkkkkk

Tadinha da Milú...

Eu amo demais esse meu gringo...

Bjo,

Carol
