We got a CR1 visa in less than 2 months!!! Can we enter the USA for one week and come back 6 months later?

What is this direct filing option? Does anyone know if a 129F can be filed at the Seoul embassy too?

There is an email and phone# here - http://seoul.usembassy.gov/contact.html

If you ask them your questions, you'll get the answer.

DCF=Direct Consular Filing that is if you live in the country of your S.O. for a period 6 months.

Shenzhen, That's a general one.

I know a guy from India who did it (DCF) with 3 months residency.

Some countries may ask even more time to do DCF and more proof of residency requirement.

That is not possible for a fiance(e) visa. Only available for spouse visa petitions.

Direct Consular filing (DCF) is only available for spousal visas, not fiancee visas, and only if the US citizen has resided abroad for a minimum of 6 months immediately prior to filing.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

Yes DCF is available only to spousal visas.

Residency requirement varies by the country.
