Where to file?

Hello!

I tried searching the forum and did not quite find what I was looking for so I was hoping someone could help. I tried calling USCIS but fell into a loop of automated self-help options and never got a person.

1. I am currently a student and reside in Wisconsin (California Service Center), however, my permanent address is still at my parents' in Pennsylvania (Vermont Service Center). Which service center should I mail the Form I-129F package to?

2. Question 14 asks "Address in the United States where your fiance intends to live." We intend to live together while I finish school so we would be in a rental property in Wisconsin. Should I put that address even though I do not currently live there (moving there in August)? or for some reason should I put my Pennsylvania address? Would this affect where I should file the paperwork?

Thanks in advance for your input!

-Jan

Where YOU have a PERMANENT address is what I would say. Otherwise you will not receive the paperwork. Also, I am not sure how much longer you have to finish school, but you know the K-1 is only good for 90 days from the date of entry correct?

Thank you for your reply.

Yes, we are planning on getting married while I am still in school. Its just that our physical address will be in Wisconsin until I finish, after that we may move to Pennsylvania.

If you are moving to the new address in August I would lean toward the Pennsylvania address,

because your parents are there and in case of any glitch with not moving to the new address

you will get all communications from them, even if there will be small delays.

If it's 100% that you'll be moving to the new address you should use that, but remember

the NOA1 would go to that address and you have to be sure there will be someone there

who can notify you of that without returning it to sender.
