I have just received NOA-2. YEA! My GF asked me if there would be a problem since we haven't known each other for two years.

We have known each other for about 1 year. I have LOADS of proof of us meeting in her home country (Thailand) and have visited her twice since we met. Pictures with her entire family (during Songkran), loads of receipts, loads of emails, chats, phone bills, etc.

Should this be a problem with the interviewer since we haven't known each other for 2 years?

You don't need to know someone for 2 years, you need to have met them in person at least once in the 2 years before you filed.

(I'm going for the IR-1 and blowing off the K-3. Even if it takes an extra couple months, it's worth it to not have to deal with USCIS again)

Note:

Please fill out I-130, wait 6 months for approval, then 3 more months for an interview. (Unless of course we've bombed your country into the stone age, then you qualify for expedited processing.)

10-31-2009 - Visited for 5 days

12-30-2009 - visited for 11 days (informal engagement)

1-13-2010 - Mailed I129F Petition

1-15-2010 - Recieved NOA1

1-21-2010 - Touched

3-09-2010 - visiting for 6 days

3-12-2010 - Formal Engagement in Ochee

4-20-2010 - Recieved NOA2 (no previous touches)

4-22-2010 - NVC Recieved my Petition, Assigned New Case#
