Blue Sheet requesting I-864

Could anyone please tell me if my wife's interview was a good sign or not? My wife was called for interview around 9:00 am. After a few simple questions such as: What's your husband name? Whom do your husband live with? And the CO wanted to see some pictures of mine and my daughter took together. After that she told my wife to get the co-sponsor because my income was not enough. (The CO asked if my wife bring the co-sponsor's tax return then give it to her) I started working full time from mid of 2008 until now. Last year I made about $25K (household size of 3) and no income for 2007. I thought I made enough that's why I didn't need co-sponsor.

2007: no income

2008: started from June = $12K

2009: $25K (household size of 3).

Then the CO gave my wife a blue sheet and told my wife to sign part 2 of DS-230, and tell her to get her fingerprint. The translator told my wife that whenever we get the co-sponsor then come back to hand it in.

Is this a good sign? Now time to find someone to be the co-sponsor.

yup - is a good sign - ie - NOT AN OUTRIGHT DENIAL.

figure it as the last 'request for evidence' bit.

A great sign IMO... get the cosponsor and you should be fine....

That is a great sign in my opinion since many people have said HCMC does not accept co-sponsers. It also sounds like they are getting the things they need ready for the visa, so you should be good to go! Jerome

Its very rare that they accept one for a K visa but it can happen.. but they accept them from time to time for CR1's.... ToanTien had a cosponsor for CR1... similar to how they handled Ken, but they made him wait a few months likely due to the additional evidence he had to submit...

Hopefully my case won't be put in AP for 120 days like ToanTien's case . If I remember correctly ToanTien needed to submit proof of Bona fide relationship and timeline also, not only the co-sponsor.

Got everything and sent to my wife this morning. Fed-ex's staff told me that the package will be in HoChiMinh city this thursday at 6:00pm. Hopefully my wife can get it on friday morning and hand it in on the same day. Wishing the CO won't ask for any proofs of bona fide relationship and put us in AP like ToanTien's case (Wishing our case like Kevin&Tuyen's case) . Last interview, the CO kept our daughter's passport and CRBA that my wife brought those with her (the copied ones). I'm praying for Pink Sheet.

Finally, We made it. Today, after 2 hours of waiting, my wife got pink and will pick up Visa on July 2.
