Slim,

It has a unusual opener. You twist the cap and a small pour spout pops out under a small plastic cover. Great for pouring shots.

I was really surprised to find it. It was the same price as in Ukraine too. About $12 for a fifth. It has a little bite from the pepper on your tongue and then the real smooth burn as it goes down. I'm not a big vodka drinker, but I could get used to this stuff pretty easily.

Good luck on your search. In my opinion, it is well worth the search. :bonk:

Sounds cool. I'll keep an eye out for it.

Slim and others,

It took me a bit to find a suitable representation of the Honey Pepper Vodka I like.

It is Khortytsa.

Where did you find it? Liquor Store? Russian store?

Brad,

I have to go to Sacramento to shop at Russian stores. Sacramento has a Russian speaking population of about 120,000 I've been told. We have several stores there we like. Across the street from the first one I took my wife to is a liquor store. They carry lots of foreign brands of liquor and beer. The area is called Citrus Heights. I have not found any Russian stores that carry any alcohol. I'm just glad I don't have to go all the way to Ukraine to find this.

We generally use it for special occasions or ceremonial uses. My consumption generally is limited to 3 shots as that seems to be the minimum required to satisfy any Ukrainian.
