That will change eventually. My sister use to not care about what I did or hanging out with me, but now shes 22 and just got a new job and all she can talk about non-stop is coming to visit me, even if she has to come without my parents :lol:

I feel a little sad... so the original plan was that only my parents were coming and I had resigned myself to that fact but I talked to my mom today and she had been talking to my little sister, trying to get her to come along to and she said no, she would rather hang out with her friends.. :( now part of me gets that.. she is 15 and in her world friends are the most important thing in her life.. but the other part of me is really crushed that she didn't want to come and spend time with me :(

Yes...by nature they are a selfish bunch...but really - they tend to live in the moment and for their friends only :) She will grow out of it though! At 15 - can your mum insist that she come Marilyn? I had no luck with my own daughter...but you never know

my sister is the youngest so she is a tad bit spoiled, even though my parents would never admit that...

my mom said she tried and tired to get her to come but to no avail.. and honestly she probably wouldn't be to much fun to have around if she was forced to come...

My days here in RI are winding down! Enjoying my 2Xl Timmies a day, and just chilling!! We head back early Sunday morn!! Then back to work on Monday night, yuck!! So hope they let me go PRN (casual) so I can be a slacker,lol

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied,that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

My mom called earlier saying it was 47 degrees C with the humidex yesterday where she is. She lives near Paris, Ontario.

It's crazy, I dont even think we hit 80 yesterday here in Southern Cali.
