It took almost a week from being approved to actually getting it. And yes they were sleepless nights. The whole Admin review process took 2 months. sent paperwork on april 20th and received the visa on june 24th. I have heard that the time frames are different for K1s compared to IR/CR visas.

Well, my conclusion is that they don't look at paperwork in the order they receive it. When I call DOS they tell me that the visa is approved but not issued. They can't tell me when it was approved so for all I know it could have been approved 11 weeks ago when they asked for my passport. I sent the extra proof they needed in early March and after 6 weeks they asked for my passport. Now It's been another 11 weeks on top of the six of admin. review. They just need to stamp the damn passport! I'm so frustrated I'm loosing my cool! Four months of admin. review is unforgivable...

How is that possible when I sent the passport at the beginning of april? Anyone else had a situation in which there was such a big gap between sending documents and documents being "received" ?

Took them a month to 'receive', i.e. log, my DS-230. Takes them a while to open their mail, sometimes.

Slow as molasses in January, as they say. ;)

Finally, my visa was issued yesterday afternoon, about one month since they have "received" my passport and three months since I sent it. Hopefully it won't be too long until I actually receive it.

Sounds promising, hopefully you will have it in hand soon!

wait im confused what this all about? Senators? Congressman? Whos? the Canadian or American? and should my Fiancee contact the Senator or Congressman or both in Ohio. Explain please im confused. I recieved my confirmation # from the 1-129F form. Grats.. Montreal sure is slow lately eh, 10 weeks after my interview I have heard zip from them and it's sad to see people waiting even longer. Must be a relief to finally get it.
