The U.S. Embassy is relating how the form DS-160 is replacing D-156, D-157, D-158. Is this part of the fiance visa process rather than the non-immigrant visa process? My fiance will have to fill it out on line. There is no indication what the fee would be. Though there were fees for the forms that it is replacing (if it is in this case).

I am trying to make sure that I understand what forms are involved and what the procedures are so that no mistakes are made. And I have to able to explain to her what she is supposed to do and how.

On a related matter. The fiance letter of intent. The return address for me when I send in the Fiance application. Is that the USCIS office nearest me or the office of homeland security or both?

When she fills it out is it the U.S. Embassy address or the U.S. State Department or both? Since both options are listed in the templates return address spaces.

Thanks, I do follow the directions carefully. Except when they are unclear and ambiguous. The directions at the Manila Embassy site are unclear as to the fee and the amount of the fee to be paid. Unclear as to whether the D-160 replaces the other forms in the case of the fiance visa or only in the case of non-immigrant visas. I am pretty sure it does but there is a certain murkiness there. I am trying to get absolute clarity because I have to explain all this to my fiance, for whom English is a second language and for whom her new experience with American-style bureauacracy is frequently overwhelming, so my being completely sure of things is necessary.

I don't get my forms criss-crossed, It would be be nice if the USCIS would stop changing the procedure every other month and stop hiking the fees for one thing or another every other month.

Thanks for the response.
