Visiting U.S. after Marriage

Perhaps someone can share their experiences with a similar situation and perspective.

If a European Citizen marries an American in Europe and then visits the U.S. for a one week vacation on the Visa Waiver program, before the Immigration Application process has started, would the visitor face issues from CBP on arrival solely to the fact of being married to an American. The married visitor is solely coming for a vacation into the U.S. with 0 intent of staying and would return to their home country at the end of the week stay.

It should not cause a problem as long as you have strong ties to your country.

I didn't have any problem when I visited the US for vacation on VWP after I married to my USC husband.

We both went through the immigration via citizens and returning residents line.

The CBP officer asked us questions like - are you guys married? - where did you get married? but otherwise it was a very smooth process.

We lived in Ireland for several years before applying for my spousal visa, and never got questioned when travelling.
