Does anyone able to pick up their fiancee visa? How many days from the interview? Thanks :help:

you don't pick it up from the embassy, they deliver it via AIR21. You should get it within a week after the interview.

11/05/09 - Sent I-130 for mother via snail mail

11/13/09 - Received NOA1

03/05/10 - Received NOA2

03/11/10 - Case entered into NVC system, MNL case # assigned

03/18/10 - Sent DS3032 via E-mail

03/24/10 - DS3032 entered into NVC system

03/25/10 - Received IV Fee bill by E-mail, PAID both IV and AOS Fees on-line

03/26/10 - AOS Bill showed as PAID (still waiting for 2009 Tax Transcript from IRS)

03/29/10 - IV Bill showed as PAID (still waiting for mother's documents from the Philippines)

04/09/10 - Sent AOS Package by snail mail

04/12/10 - NVC received AOS package

04/19/10 - Sent IV Package by snail mail

04/21/10 - NVC received IV package

04/28/10 - AOS accepted (received checklist re:IV package even if NVC received it already)

05/03/10 - Sign In FAILED!!!!!!!!!!!

05/05/10 - AVR message: "CASE COMPLETED ON 05/04/10"

05/12/10 - Received interview letter via e-mail

05/17-18/10 - Medical Exam

06/16/10 - Interview Appointment @ the Embassy (Canceled because of sputum and culture test, 2 months waiting)

08/05/10 - New Interview Appointment

08/07/10 - Visa delivered 2 days after interview

08/27/10 - LAX P.O.E.

You can request to pick it up at the embassy. When I was there with my fiancée and he said we are approved and started talking about air21, I asked if we can have fast processing since we were in hotel across the street and I needed to get back to work asap in the US. He gave us a purple card for visa pickup and he said they will call you when it's ready and show card on entry to embassy on pickup day.

The day after the approved interview we got a phone call to come for pickup in the morning.

So two days after interview we did pick it up.

I was glad for that because I have heard of delays sometimes with Air21 and I wanted her on the plane with me going back.

1/19/10 - NOA1

2/18/10 - moved and changed address on USCIS site

2/19/10 - touched

3/10/10 - touched

3/10/10 - NOA2, hardcopy recieved 3/12

3/22/10 - USEM recieved

4/19/10 - Passed Medical

4/28/10 - Interview - Approved

Thanks... Actually, we have the purple card last Friday, and just waiting for US Embassy to call us to pick up the fiancee visa.

Picking up the visa usually takes 2 days (3 days at the latest), if you were allowed to pick it up.

hmmm, this is the first time I've heard (or read) someone pick-up their visa from the embassy. but it makes sense specially if you're in a hotel just across the embassy or for someone who wants to leave asap. I remember it took me more than 2 months after getting my visa before I left the country. :blush:

I havent received any call from USEM to pick up my fiancee's visa. I decided to call USEM and to know the status. They were kind enough to tell me that the VISA hasnt printed yet. Also,I asked them the time frame, but been told that they didnt know and they will call back. I told them that I have a flight to catch this Friday. Hope that they will call this afternoon to pick up the visa tomorrow.

OK I'm confused, some people told her she couldn't pick up the visa, but at the Air21 window, she gave them the address of the hotel across the street, they didn't collect any money, AND they gave her a blue piece of paper? not sure what this means.....

After 5 hours calling then, my fiancee did receive a call from them. Her visa is ready to pick up tomorrow. Wow!! That's great. I think a little push to USEM helps.

Cant wait to see her visa tomorrow and fly the following day!
