USCIS isn't allowing me to check my case status anymore

"It was reported to us that your IP address or internet gateway has been locked out for a select period of time. This is due to an unusually high rate of use. In order to avoid this issue, please create a Customer account (single applicant) or a Representative account (representing many individuals)."

This is what I got earlier from the USCIS case status check thing.

I don't check more than twice a day.

Apart from the time where I tried to put in different case numbers to see at which stage they are with the approvals.

Did anybody ever get this?

I don't assume it will affect anything but it ticks me off.

Hey, I got this same message today. I read a couple other posts, from ppl with the same problem. Maybes its a glitch in the system. Im just gonna wait and try again in a day. I dont think theres anything to worry about:)

Maybe it's a new system they brought in to prevent their servers from crashing.

And I feel better now that other people got this too. I just saw another thread discussing this aswell.

Just curious did you really check that often or did you check other case numbers?

Cause that's what I did two days or so ago to see if any people with the same submission date got accepted or anything.

I think they don't like it when you do this.

If the whole process wasn't such a long long and misterious one this wouldn't happen.

I got exactly the same message just now and I only check in once a morning (about 8am Australia time). Funnily enough when I tried to do that this morning it said the website was not available - I suspect it's a glitch.

Its because of the high usage from your IP. Sometimes they will block the internet service provider itself. Dont worry, your IP will be released from block list in 10-15 days.

Do you not have a account setup with USCIS? From what I gather, this would solve the problem.

How are you checking other peoples case numbers? It seems odd that you would do that and if someonne gave you their account number, they have jepordized there case security.

I'm not making any accusations and your just like us all, very anxious.lol. I think they only update the system 1x per day anyways. I couldn't see your NOA1 date, but unless your early June or before, you prob. Won't see any progress for a few weeks. Good luck, if your before me, update your timeline when something happens.
