God cant someone invent a timemachine to get me through this phase in my life, I think that would be faster than just wishing my life away.. never thought I would hate weekends or pray that my days go by fast so I can sleep and wake up again... :( Hoping for some good news from someone this week...I think I have given up on praying, my faith is wavering on the brink of non existence.... I think I am clincialy depressed.. maybe I should go to the DR... I wonder how many ppl in AP have to take antidepressants.. just me? I have finally accepted this whole process... The last 4 weeks I kept thinking we will get the visa this week <only to not> and now I have a more realistic expectation of getting the visa in like 6+ months.. <sigh> All my friends here on VJ have all been able to bring there spouse home with them after the interview... I guess what doesnt kill us makes us stronger... including our realationships.. I half way think the embassy puts us on AP to test the relationship and see if they can make it crack..Ok enough of my mopy depressed rant on a Sunday..

Hugs, Melody (F) Whatznext is very right, the beginning is the worst as you get over the shock, but then you just settle in for the long-haul. Fellow VJ-ers who had their interview around the same time as mine are not only in the US, but they have their SSN and green cards. Hey ho, such is life. We'll get there, Melody, we will

Some weekends are better than others and it was just to hot to do much so I had all day to think and feel sorry for myself because I know with the holidays coming nothing will be done on my case and the sad thing is after it clears AP for the second time we have to send in all new paper work anything they can do to put up a road block they are so i sent USCIS the tax papers when they reaffirmed my case and I know the Embassy has them but I bet they ask for new ones so I guess I will call the IRS and get the official ones. I guess what scares me the most is the Embassy can hold this case another year and then return it to USCIS for a different reason. Thats alot of BULL.

I feel for you Whatznext, I dont know how you are holding yourself together... here I am cracking up over 4 weeks like it has been years or something.. My heart aches at the thought of all the Bull Sh!t that you have gone through just to be with the person ya love. It NOT fair and is really hard for me to blow it off like karmic debt... The reasoning of the government to me is ridiculous..

If its any comfort, India usually does not take that long for AP..look at the others at your consulate in Whatsnext's spreadsheet for the durations...

MQ left visajourney. That's what she posted on her personal page--I think after her last post here she felt that people were being mean to her. :( Hope she is okay.
