MIsspelled middle name in NVC letter

Hello there. My fiance and I already received a letter from the NVC that we can process the application for K1 Visa, however, the letter from the NVC misspelled my middle name instead of letter "U" they used letter "N". I already emailed the embassy regarding the wrong spelling and they ask for the clear copy of my birth cert. but i didn't know if they already corrected my middle name because I haven't received any confirmation from them. I am really worried about the problem. Any advice? Thanks in advance.

Call NVC and see if there is anything they can do, maybe they can correct the name with the consulate.

Are you the beneficiary or the petitioner? If you are the petitioner I wouldn't bother too much with it

hello canadian_wife. My fiancee already emailed the US Embassy in the Philippines but they didn't reply to our second email if it is already corrected. All my fiancee documents and her passport bear the correct middle name. She is really worried about the letter from the NVC and I'm getting worried to. Do you think we need to call/email the NVC since we already got the letter or she can continue the application with the wrong name on the letter and just correct the misspelled middle name on the time of her interview?

Call NVC and speak to someone. If they made the error on the paperwork (rather than you making it on the documents sent to USCIS) then they can correct it.

They did my wife the same way and I contacted the embassy in Manila and spoke on the phone and they just had

us send (fax) an explanation and a copy of her birth certificate. They fixed it and no more problems.

It is a non-issue. The consulate will issue the visa in the name on your passport.

call the NVC or you can email them attach her birth certificate!!
