Thanks again everyone. Mhay should be flying from guam to hawaii now. I will be leaving my house in about 20-30 mins to drive to anchorage.

I feel that sharing all the story and timeline really helps other people understand the process more. I know i enjoyed reading all the updates. Anyway...only about 15 hours more!!! I should be getting to anchorage about the same time Mhay gets to hawaii. I gave her a calling card so she can call me after customs. I will update more later tonight after she calls me hopefully.

Well, Mhay will be on her way to alaska in about 12 hours or a little less. The next day and a half will seem to take forever! I wont drive down to anchorage until tomorrow afternoon. She doesnt arrive until early sunday morning :( Oh well, I know the wait will be well worth it! At least the hotel will have dark curtains since she will be getting here about the same time the sun will be coming up and wont set for about 17 hours or more. A big change for her.

Congrats!! Another big change will be in the winter time. Since the Philippines is a tropical environment, I doubt she has ever seen temps below 50F, let alone sub zero temps that Alaska gets.

She did see near zero temps...maybe colder in korea the time she was there. It's the negatives that will be challenging. Hopefully we can find a couple good coats on sale now for the winter.

Shoot the daytime temps here now are in the 50s and down in the 30s at night.

Well, Mhay is in hawaii now. She has called me a couple of times. She was getting ready to go to her gate...her flight boards in about an hour. Then that last 6-7 hours of waiting will be rough. I might have to go to the gym here in the hotel to kill some time if I cant sleep.

Well, her plane was about 10 mins late, but it was ok. By the time we got her bags and drove over to IHOP it was open....they didnt open until 6am. we got up a little while ago...Mhay didnt sleep much on the plane because of the kids crying. She said the POE and customs was really nice...didnt take too long. Good thing the POE didnt take long because the plane was about 30 mins late and she only had 2 hours between flights. We are getting ready to go eat now. I will post a couple pictures when we get them uploaded. We took a couple pictures outside the airport as the sun was coming up. I cant believe this day has actually come!

Thanks everyone!!

She is just trying to get used to the time change now. I always hate that...going back in time especially when the time difference is so great (16 hours here).

Those previous hours were without you together so they are worth living over.
