May 2010 CR1 filers

I called NVC today to fix my hubbys address. I have everything in order for the NVC now , the last thng I'm getting is the employment letter from my parents work place, although the checklist/instructions on the I-864 say "and/or" employment letter, is it really needed, because it's the last thing I need on my checklist.

Also I sometimes read that I should fill out a I-864EZ what is the difference with a I-864 & I-864ez. The ones I have is the I-864 Affida Of Support.

Because I'm unemployed right now and I live with my parents, they each filled out a I-864A , now they file taxes jointly, do i need to copy their tax papers twice one for my dads I-864A, and one for my moms? Because the papers are exactly the same.

The checklist for the aos says fedral tax and W2 ......I have provided the 1040EZ & W2's for myself, and parents...is that enough ....what is the 1099? do I need that also !

Last question! my sister also lives at home she is over 21 but on my parents 2007 and 2008 taxes she was put down as a dependent, but not on the 2009 (latest) Do I have to put her down in that litle household number count thing?

I'm happy for everyone getting SIF's so far

I've been trying to think ahead about things...since my hubby will be answering yes to have being arrested before and explaining it...does that mean we will have a harder & longer process time at NVC. Makes me really sad when I think about it I'm trying to be really positive about because his past stuff is from 12yrs ago... will be 13yrs ago in Jan. I hope everything works out okay..

Hahaha let me touch your post, maybe i get lucky too!!!!! Is only 3 days difference between NVC received your docs & mine. Would be awesome if smth like this happened to me, but i belive will have SIF no early than 2 weeks, in 14-15 Dec. Ah is not so bad i guess, 10 more days...

Me2 slowly but surely feeling like losing my mind!! Need to do smth, from tomorow will start working out. That did the trick until 2 days ago when i stopped because i was worrying too much about the process!!

Minted, I'm not sure , but here is my .02 worth...... To the best of my knowledge, when you submitted your I130 .... isn't that the time when background checks would have been made on him??? It would seem IF you guys made it past the uscis THEN you prob will be ok NOW... You know, if USCIS thought your husband's past would be reason enough for a denial ,then im sure you wouldn't have got the NOA2...right??? so relax, i'm sure you are just being paranoid....lol ..... just my thought on this topic... Wayne

Thanks Booger, thats really sweet of you to say! My dad keeps telling me the same thing lol . It makes sense to think of it like that, I do remember reading on the I-130 they do background checks to make sure there are no threats and stuff. I just get paranoid sometimes, and the holidays are coming I wish we could all be with out loved ones.

So that is what keeps me hanging in there... BTW, i am going to order an OFFICAL NVC SIF and CC voodoo doll so if they havent completed my case soon , then i will stick the pins in...... just joking..lol

Just a hypothetical question, say you were approved at USCIS, then NVC, then got an appt. interview. What would happen if you were charged with a crime between the time you got your interview date and the actual interview? Would they still ask there if you ever had a criminal "CHARGE"? What would a person do? Again, I'm not at all in this situation, but just thought what would happen to a person after going through the whole process then got so close to the interview, got a charge, then would they have to tell the interviewer no matter what??

Hmmm, good Q.. i could see that going either way....> <....... IMO , they prob wouldn't ask you at the interview, they would just go by what info they already have from the docs you provided ...UNLESS the person being interviewed had fresh handcuff marks on their wrists...then opps not good
