Hello-

I paid our AOS and IV fees to the NVC and they showed as "Paid" on 4/29. I downloaded my Cover Sheet and I haven't received anything after that. It appears that many other people received their packets a day or two later.

How are these packets received? Are they through the mail or electronically? Are they sent to the petitioner and beneficiaries or to your lawyer?

Any information would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Are you enrolled in NVC Electronic Processing, or no ?

if no - review http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/221785-ds-3032-slowdown/page__view__findpost__p__3560467

You should find there is a postal address to 'send to ' in each coversheet.

I am confused by 'packet' term, here, sorry.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

I would like to enroll in electronic processing, but I have not received any instruction on how to do so. Is that something the NVC sends you once you have paid, or can you do it right away?

Hi Darnell-

I reviewed the link you posted, and your response said the following:

The cycle then goes like this:

1. pay online.

2. wait 2 days (but keep checking online payment portal status) .

3. get the payment receipt from the online payment portal.

4. PRINT the payment receipt.

5. send off the form, the supporting docs, and the coversheet and payment notice to NVC.

I am between step "4" and "5" and my question is "WHAT FORM???" All I received was a cover letter. I have not received any forms. I downloaded the online forms, but my lawyer said I cannot send off anything until I receive further instruction from the NVC. My question is: What is this further instruction and when/how do I receive it?

ah - you have an attorney.

Sorry, can't help ya there. Perhaps the attorney is thinking of the 'Agent Instruction Mail' which HE might receive, which does contain a barcode . Sorry, smells like a delay.

My Small How-To should have a caveat, ah? This works only if you are NOT USING an attorney! - Sorry !

re: forms - they are downloadable from the internet - see

Hi,

For more information on electronic processing you should check out the National Visa Center information pages here:

Electronic Processing

Click down at the bottom of the page to continue - this will give you a very good overview and tell you how to opt in if you would like to file electronically.

Someone started an electronic processing thread in the Canada forum here on VJ - if you have any questions after reading that information you might want to post them there Electronic Processing For IR-1 / CR-1 folks
