Hello guys, Im just wondering I am a greencard holder and has passed my interview for citizenship however I did not have an oath ceremony yet as they were still finding for an alien related file that they said was missing. So basically I am in limbo as to how long they will find it.

My rpoblem is this will it be a problem if I go out of the country not exceeding 6 mos just to be with my fiancee while waiting for the oath ceremony. I will still be checking my mail as my family will be there and also will still keep on calling the 1-800 to get an update every month. Im just scared that I might be encounter problems if I go out wile I have a pending naturalization case with USCIS. Please help be. Your answers will be graetly apprecaited. Thanks so much. Have a great day

As long as you maintain your US residency.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

You still have to be eligible for citizenship.. meaning you still have to be in compliance with the substantial presence test, the time in district test and the continual residence test.

Go to the USCIS site and use their calculators to see if you will have any problems. But being out of the US for more than a month at a time to me seems excessive.

Hang tight for your natz interview and keep on them to find the file. I wouldn't rely on the Misinfo Line. I would make an Infopass appointment and go and ask in person every month or I would get your Congressperson on the job for you.
