Thanks!

I'm the Finnish girl and he is the USC. He is much older, which is just making this much harder for us. We have just begun to look for information and print the forms, so we aren't yet far at all.

I was 22 when we wed! Like everyone says as long as you are legal to marry it'll be ok...

O yea, your definatly not alone.

Am 20, my fiancee is 26. I am the USC, and here in China, i cant marry until im 23, so i have to do the K-1, or no visa at all!

Will be interviewing on the 10th, Good luck to you guys, I'm predicting a pink for us- we did all our homework starting 2 months before we even applied, and we have everything under the sun for the interview.

Im sure that you guys will too, since your asking questions NOW, rathar than 2 weeks b4 interview like some other people do!

If you have any questions, VJ is the place to ask. Even better is if you can find a board that is specific to your country. Come the interview, all consulates are NOT created equal.

Good luck again!

Like a lot of posters in this thread, I just want to wish you all the best!

I'm 20 and Matt, my lovely USC fiancé, is 22. We had our I-129F approved recently - my advice would be to just read as much as you can (VJ guides are seriously a godsend) and try to get your head around the process. This experience can be overwhelming and it can be tough, but I think that's what makes this process what it is. You'll have your ups and your downs but keeping the end goal in mind seems to ensure my sanity :) Everyone here is super supportive and helpful and questions always have answers it seems, even if you find them by trawling through old threads and doing searches. Moonandstar is right, country-specific boards are a huge help.

Good luck!

Thank you for the support!

I am researching for a while now. I dont want to jump in anything fast that will be lifechanging.

VJ is a very helpfull source for all the questions I have.

I read about couples who get there visa after 15 months or even later. How can that happen? Because we want to send the 129F this summer while im visiting her and then the next summer I would like to move over there, after my study.

Ey Matt thanks for the support!

happy that your 129F is approved. Any tips about the I-129F package? Just follow the instructions on the guides and the example forms?

My timeline probably won't be much help because it was so long ago (things seemed to move a bit faster at that time, at least for CSC VSC cases) but I do wish you luck. I was 21 when we filed (having already lived together for three years on his J-visa) and, man, did I think we were going to be apart FOREVER. Obviously, that didn't quite happen and we're coming up on three years of marriage and ten years of being a couple. The wait is worth it. :)
