Interview PASSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now just to wait for the Oath Ceremony Letter!!!!! So happy!

The interview was easy...Who is the Pres of WWI, Who wrote the Constitution, What ocean is on the East Coast, One responsibility of citizenship? When is Independence Day, What is Abe Lincoln famous for? What is our national anthem, 2 national holidays, Who is our President? What is our economic system. Then had to read 10 sentences and write 4 sentences. Not a big deal. She took all the old expired green cards and work authorization cards and said my oath letter would be in the mail within the next 30 days.

Almost done!

Lifting Conditions- Nebraska Service Center

3-22-2007: Sent out I-751

3-24-2007: Received at NSC

3-27-2007: Official USCIS received date

3-30-2007: Both checks cashed and case number received

4-05-2007: NOA1 received in mail with correct case number

4-05-2007: NOA1 case number works online

4-06-2007: Received Biometrics appointment notice

4-17-2007: Biometrics Appointment and TOUCHED :)

5-02-2007: Greencard expires

Dec 2007: Received extention until Dec 2008

5-09-2008: Card production ordered!! FINALLY!!!

Naturalization!!!!

She took your old EAD? That was taken at our first AOS interview. LOL. Same with our travel document as well. I was looking for it yesterday and found our K-1 docs. Then I was a crying mess. I don't think my husband ever saw me cry so much LOL. I never cry.

Oh god, I'm a mess. Congrats Ace13!!!!

My NVC Journey

10/12/10 –NVC received the file

10/15/10 -NVC case # generated

10/18/10 -Called NVC and gave both beneficiary and petitioner email addresses

10/19/10 - Beneficiary emailed DS-3032 to NVC and also mailed the hard copy

10/26/10 - Called NVC and got the IIN

10/26/10 - Paid AOS fee $ 88.00

10/27/10 - AOS fee status shows "PAID"

10/27/10 - AOS package expressed mailed (next day delivery)

10/30/10 - IV fee bill generated and paid immediately

10/30/10 - Received AOS fee bill and DS-3032 kit and also received the confirmation of receipt of DS-3032

11/04/10 - IV fee bill status shown as "paid"

11/04/10 - Sent IV package (next day delivery)

11/06/10 - Received IV instructions packet (packet 3) via email

11/08/10 - AOS entered into NVC system

11/16/10 - AOS was reviewed and OK'ed

11/18/10 - IV entered into NVC system

11/24/10 - IV package was reviewed and generated artificial RFE for missing photographs (which was actually submitted with the package)

Call Customer Service and ask for a service request for the "RFE", you will have your interview letter in 3-4 days after you call. Is what I did and also one of my best friends did and we received our interview letters 3 days after the call.

That didn't work for us. My husband called at least a week ago, and still nothing...

My case was pending RFE since early June and I was wondering why they were taking too long.

Anyways, at around 4 AM in the morning I received the SMS and my status has changed to "Testing and Interview".

Let's see how quick will the Miami DO be and assign me a test date..

I have been waiting for the same good news :)

I will share you my recent telephone experience with USCIS.

-I called USCIS last Thursday about my N-400.

-Talked to the operator first

-Explained that I received my Yellow letter to bring state ID in the interview but didn't receive the interview letter

-Surprisingly, the lady told me "The yellow letter says - THIS IS NOT YOUR INTERVIEW LETTER, but unfortunately it is the interview letter. I repeatedly asked her and she gave me the same answer

-I was shocked ohmy.gif

-She transferred me to an officer who was very very nice.

-The officer corrected now that yellow letter is not interview letter, interview letter will follow later. He also said within 90 days of Yellow letter, interview letter should be received. However it doesn't take that long.

-I told the officer that the lady who I spoke at the first gave me the wrong information, told me that the yellow letter is interview letter.

-The officer told "I am glad you talked to me"

2 weeks ago, I was in the same situation with you.. I, instead of calling (as I do not trust the call center), made an infopass appointment and went to speak with the representative face to face.. But, as expected, she only told me to wait... then I sent a message (online-via bottom line of https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/Dashboard/CaseStatus.do) and informed that my case was pending too long.. As a result several days ago, they sent me a separate letter from NBC stating that my case was already transferred to my District Office.. and, this morning my online-status was updated.. Therefore, I presume, by pushing them by all means, I reached to this level.. now, I am waiting for the Interview Letter with the date... let's see what's gonna happen..

But, as expected, she only told me to wait... then I sent a message (online-via bottom line of https://egov.uscis.g...d/CaseStatus.do) and informed that my case was pending too long.. As a result several days ago, they sent me a separate letter from NBC stating that my case was already transferred to my District Office.. and, this morning my online-status was updated.. Passed the interview today at Buffalo, NY. I was scheduled for 8:40am and was called in around 9:00am. The process is very straightforward. The IO asked mostly routine questions from the application, only interested to know if anything changed since the application was filed. He asked me to write a simple sentence, and then asked six civics questions (who is commander-in-chief, who wrote declaration of independence, name three states that signed the independence letter etc). Once that was over, he gave me a letter saying I passed the interview and a separate letter saying my oath date is September 17th. I was out in 15 minutes.

I felt it was not an interview to reject people but to verify if there is a real human face behind the application. If you are applying five years after employment-based green card and did not make your life unusually complicated by not paying annual taxes or being arrested, I would say there is no reason to worry.

What is the answer for this question? I didn't see this in those 100 questions !!!

My NVC Journey

10/12/10 –NVC received the file

10/15/10 -NVC case # generated

10/18/10 -Called NVC and gave both beneficiary and petitioner email addresses

10/19/10 - Beneficiary emailed DS-3032 to NVC and also mailed the hard copy

10/26/10 - Called NVC and got the IIN

10/26/10 - Paid AOS fee $ 88.00

10/27/10 - AOS fee status shows "PAID"

10/27/10 - AOS package expressed mailed (next day delivery)

10/30/10 - IV fee bill generated and paid immediately

10/30/10 - Received AOS fee bill and DS-3032 kit and also received the confirmation of receipt of DS-3032

11/04/10 - IV fee bill status shown as "paid"

11/04/10 - Sent IV package (next day delivery)

11/06/10 - Received IV instructions packet (packet 3) via email

11/08/10 - AOS entered into NVC system

11/16/10 - AOS was reviewed and OK'ed

11/18/10 - IV entered into NVC system

11/24/10 - IV package was reviewed and generated artificial RFE for missing photographs (which was actually submitted with the package)

11/26/10 - RFE response mailed out

11/29/10 - RFE response delivered to NVC

12/08/10 - RFE response entered into NVC system

12/15/10 - SIF :)

12/15/10 - Case Complete :)

01/03/11 - Interview date assigned for Feb 15 @ 1:30 PM

01/17/11 - Medical done ! Passed

01/25/11 - Re-scheduled the interview for Feb 1 @ 1:00 PM

02/01/11 - Interview @ 1:00 PM - Approved :)

02/03/11 - Visa picked up from USEM
