We were pretty worried, too, especially when a few girls around us started coming up positive on the x-ray examination. Plus, my fiancée had a bit of a cough that day.

Hey, what can you do. Worry about the things you can control, and keep your fingers crossed for the things you can't. I was a hell of a lot more anxious the day we went in for the interview together. That bell must have run a thousand times announcing the next number.

If you had come into the ER at the hospital I work at with the symptoms you describe, immediately the suspicion would have been TB. They are classic symptoms for TB so it should most definitely be eliminated first as cause of symptoms. A series of 3 AFB sputum tests would have been immediately done before you left the hospital. TB skin test is not normally used in people who have received the BCG vaccine because it may present with a false positive. My two cents would be to get an AFB sputum test done ASAP to rule it out if the symptoms don't fully go away. If she does in fact have TB you don't want her roaming around Saint Lukes for her medical exam exposing other people to active TB.

I wonder how many people get TB from going to St Luke's for their medical? It's a small place and I'm sure a percentage of people go in and out of there everyday with active TB. I always hate going into hosiptals because there's so many infectious things floating around. :unsure:

Well, my girl did her CFO seminar yesterday. She'll just need to grab the sticker on her way outta the Phils now. Day 1 of the medical is just about over. She's sitting there now, freezing to death, waiting for her name to be called for the last (girlie part) part of the exam then today's over. Tomorrow she'll go back for D-Day :unsure: (I'm as nervous as a ####### in church)

Ok, I've read it here before but just to be clear - She checked in with the guard, he looked her up, took her passport, gave her a receipt with IMMUNIZATION stamped on it and sent her down the hall - She just passed didn't she.
