Hey hon, mi deh yah jus a guan tek tings easy. Hubby and I have been all over the place visiting relatives the last couple of weeks and I'm just so tired now and want to relax.

Congrats on the EAD approval. I hope hubby gets a job soon.

I believe its a man thing and may be a west indian thing. They are very prideful people and also believe anything can be cured with herbal remedies. Maybe he is just letting it take its course. Ive heard my husband say that us Americans will run to the doctor for anything.. Maybe he is just letting nature take its course.

I know you care and want him to go but he is grown. He is doing what he feels is best for him. Just telling him "Oh well if you don't get it checked out, you won't be around when I come to visit JA" lol sike don't say that to him sis.....

O.k. ladies am I wrong.

For the last week Nev has had the worst cold and I kept getting on him about it telling him to stay in the house and rest stop running the streets drink liquids etc. Well I noticed the cold that once started off as a sneeze and stuffy nose then grew into a runny nose and cough. Now it’s in his chest and he could barely breathe while talking to me yesterday. The cold is way bad. It’s been almost a week. I have been asking Nev to please go to the dr’s and have it checked out it might be far worse. He claims he’s drinking rum and wata and I think is it bush tea and he keeps telling me its getting better but I can hear its not. So on Thursday I asked him if he didn’t get any better could he please go to the hospital/ dr on Sat? He promised me he would. Well yesterday, Monday, he still didn’t go and I could hear its bad. I was very upset and asked him why hasn’t he been is he afraid of the dr’s? Will it take money because I want you to go there. He told me no he’s getting better he’ll be alright and if in a few days if it doesn’t get better he will go. Why must you wait a few days you need to go now!!!! See with the cold being in his chest I’m worried it might be an affection or ammonia and he needs an antibiotic to kill it. I got so upset and I felt we were arguing so I hung up and didn’t talk to him no more because I knew if I heard him continue to talk I would just go on and on. (I’m the type that won’t let it go.) He was upset he left me some breathless voice mails but I refused to answer. Whatever!

My question is this. For those you of that know more about JA than me is it something I’m missing why he won’t go? Is it not that easy to get treated or does it really cost money because I just don’t understand it. Also was I being unreasonable? I would say tell me the truth but ha one thing about this board you all will. Thanks for letting me vent!

Maybe he is afraid he has some new disease that can't be cured. I really hope he gets to feeling better...hopefully he will go to the doctor to see if he has pneumonia and get those antibiotics if he needs them.

My hubby thinks I'm stingy w/ money as well, correction, he thinks I'm cheap but I don't pay him no mind b/c when he starts working I'm gonna ask for the most expensive things and I just wanna hear him utter a sigh so I can tell him don't be cheap!

I would try that, except the "problem" with my husband is... he would GET it! He keeps talking about buying me an iPad. I tell him that I don't WANT an iPad at the current price. I rather wait a year or 2 (or 3) until the same thing is cheaper.

Steven has trouble saying "no" if he has the $. For example, he went to CVS & bought something one day. The cashier asked him if she could have his change to get her car washed. He GAVE it to her!! He just doesn't seem as concerned (as I am) with having $ to save it. He's much more likely to give it away or spend it.

I think there's a difference between stingy and FRUGAL!

Nat seems really giving, and likes the finer things in life...but just doesn't want to waste money!

Steven definitely fits this as well. The one exception I know is my father. Since he retired, he goes to the doctor for any & everything.

Thats great...I know the feeling, Ive been dragging poor steve everywhere. He has been to at least six states now!

Thank you for the congrats. They even touched his AP yesterday, even though he is not going anywhere anytime soon... We've been having domino competetion every night keeping score lol.. He thinks he is hot stuff... I love it when i know Im going to win, I start slamming the dominoes. He talks so much shyt lol Then we've been watching the NBA finals together talking more shyt lol I told him I was moving out from June 11th to July 11th while the world cup is going on...

I am BEYOND pissed....Friend of mine lives in Michigan and was getting married.

She did ask me about taking photos, but I kind of was reluctant, assumed her budget wouldn't cover my airfare, hotel and prices.

She just put out her photos of FB.They are TERRIBLE. DISGUSTING. Shadows, no attention to skyline, no attention to posing etc.

I called her and asked her how she felt about the photos. She told me she knew they were terrible (didn't want to infere if she thought they were great).

I asked her how much she paid and the photographer charged her TWICE as much as I would have!

I feel PISSED as HELL, with myself AND the photographer.

The work is TRULY HORRIBLE!

Moral of this story, JAE, is we all have to stop assuming. Worse case, she would've said she couldn't afford you.

DaDa, I tried to go back and find your post and reply, but I can't find it and I gotta get back to work. I would be worried too. Does he have asthma? I know the government hospitals are NOT FUN, can take all day to be seen, but it's free... I really hope he goes to see the doctor soon. Do you talk to any of his relatives? I know my honey would not be happy if I called sister to tell her he needed attention, but I don't care, if he was not taking care of himself and I was that worried, I would certainly be ringing sister's phone to have her go check on him/take him to the doctor.

I would try no to upset him further tho, knowing how breathing problems are, if he gets upset it will be harder for him to breathe.

Maybe she didn't know what the rate would/should be...

I know that I am super paranoid about finding a photographer... to me it is so important that the photos be good. I just don't know how to screen photographers, what the average cost is, how to FIND photographers to screen....
