Just wanted to stop in real quick to let ya'll know I'm leaving for Gambia tomorrow to visit with my honey for two weeks. YAY!!! I'll be sure to post pics when I get back.

07/28/10 Petition received at VSC then forwarded to Lewisville, TX (received there 7/29/10)

08/02/10 NOA1 Notice date

08/06/10 Touched

08/07/10 Received NOA1 in mail

08/10/10 Touched

10/03/10 Touched

01/31/11 I-129F Petition APPROVED!!!

02/03/11 Received hard copy of NOA2 (although the envelope is stamped Feb 2...so only one day to get to me :) )

02/07/11 Arrived at NVC

02/07/11 MADE APPOINTMENTS FOR MEDICAL AND INTERVIEW. (Will post actual dates after they occur :) )

02/08/11 Left NVC

02/17/11 Medical

03/01/11 Interview (FH is in AP)

04/12/11 AP COMPLETED!!

04/13/11 FH notified to come to the embassy with his passport!

04/26/11 FH received Visa

04/29/11 FH Arrived in the US!!! JFK POE

06/08/11 MARRIED!

Enjoy and have a wonderful trip. Take lots of pictures and bring some good music back.

B/W if you had more time I would suggest that you find a good tailor, get your measurments done, so you can have some A-line summer dresses done in some of that beautiful material.

02.02.10 - Delivered to Chicago per USPS delivery confirmation/signature @ 11:30a

02.12.10 - Recieved NOA in the mail for AOS, EAD, AP (dated 2/8/10: Day 1)

02.16.10- Biometrics appointment for 3.4.10 (dated 2.11.10)

02.18.10 - Early biometrics! walk-in (day 10)

02.22.10 - RFE for Medical (dated 2.18.10)

02.23.10 - Infopass (not helpful)

02.26.10 - Sent reply to RFE for I 693 to Lee's Summit and sent letter to senator (day 18)

03.01.10 - Delivery confirmation for RFE by Lee's summit and senator

03.04.10 - Status update: Case has resumed; letter from senator stating case is with adjunctor(day 24 )

03.08.10 - AOS application transferred to CALIFORNIA SERVICE CENTER... No updates on EAD or AP (day 28)

Thank you! I'm really looking forward to it! You know, I've been thinking about that fabric for months now. LOL I'm planning on having an Africa Meets America wedding and wanted to have my wedding dress made from African fabric in an "American" style. So it's funny that you mention dresses.

That seems to be a great idea, look at some of the fabric there,it will be cheaper there. I enjoy alot of the wines that comes out of South Africia, so if you are a wine drinker, taste some of their wines. If not look at their teas.

Can I ask you who did you purchase your plane tickets through? Where are the layovers and how much in advance did you purchase the tickets? What are the average cost of the tickets you have purchased?

Sorry for all the questions but I need to start planning for our trip to The Gambia next year. We went around this time last year but I was coming from the US and he paid for the tickets while in England. There are a number of available flights out of London regularly. It is easier to get to The Gambia from London then from here ....it seems. We are adjusting his status now and so we will be leaving from the US this time around.
