Those fields are for languages like, say... Russian or something. You can write N/A, since they use the Roman alphabet in France... aselano, you really need to relax...

Hmm, where have I heard this before? Has Ms. Mew told me that I need to relax previously?:lol: Hey, if you look you'll notice that I DIDN'T make the post like I said I would.

I sent an e-mail last night to the LAST person we can think of to ask about co-sponsoring. We shouldn't need a co-sponsor if I get/keep a new job that pays enough, but we'd like having a "just in case" back-up... besides, if we get a co-sponsor the petition can go in the mail ASAP instead of waiting for me to get a job! :innocent: We're trying not to get our hopes up, but we're sorta hoping that she'll say yes...

I think it'd be neat if all of us preparing-to-file folks could meet up, maybe we could find friends amongst ourselves to go through the process with, especially from the same service centers. If you're preparing to file, let us know what you have left that you need to do, when you hope to be able to file by, the service center you'll be going through, and the beneficiary's country.

Ok, so I'm new and I'm preparing to file. I have hired an attorney (one of the best in Utah) because the consulate in Lagos scares me and I want everything to be done right. However, my attorney has not dealt with the consulate in Lagos. I am currently filling out forms G325A and I129F. I'm hoping to be able to file by February 7, 2007. I will be going through the Nebraska Service Center and my fiance is from Nigeria.

Hi all :)

My name is Tasha, I am 24 and I live England, my fiance (Chris) is in America (Maryland). We have been together for just over a year now. We met by chance when I was over there visiting my Dad and we haven't looked back since. He is the love of my life and I cannot wait to marry him.

We are planning to send the initial forms to Chicago? Is this correct? From what I gathered on the USCIS website that was the thing to do... They don't make things very clear though!

We are in the middle of getting everything prepared for send off! Getting all our copies of birth certificates, photo's etc, writing the intent letters and declaration. I am so glad that I found this website, it is going to make it so much easier! I have found out things that I didn't even know about!

I would be interested in talking to people who are in the same situation as me, (Petitioner in the US and beneficary in UK) This is a great idea, everyone is gonna need support through this. I will be so glad when the forms are finally sent! I can't wait for the day when I don't have to say goodbye anymore!

Good luck everyone!

Just a thought too... We are doing all this by ourselves as we cannot afford the lawyer fees. Is this the norm? Are most of you doing it yourselves? Anyone have any tips?

If you have a straight forward case (no police recors, no previous marriages. etc.) you don't need to waste money on an attorney. Just stick to the guides here on VJ....

Chicago? I think a Maryland resident files with Vermont.

YMMV

Thanks all :)

I think I will send it to Vermont then...

My fiance has had a previous marriage but they divorced 10 years ago. He has all the relevant divorce papers etc so I don't think that would be a problem. I am glad that people on here are doing it by themselves... It puts my mind at ease somewhat. The lawyer bills are just far too expensive. I went for a consultation a few months ago and it cost me £500 for half an hour :o So god knows what it would cost for her to do the whole thing..

Hi! I just filed my I-129F package yesterday with the TSC. I noticed on your timeline that you received your NOA online. Did you have to subcribe to a service or did they e-mail you based on the e-mail address on your I-129F? Thanks!

I am *hoping* to be filing in March this year. Just waiting for the details of my divorce to be finalized. Wish me luck and if anyone will be filing a little later like me, I'd love a buddy to share the stress with! I'm the USC and my fiance is from the UK.
