ok ...hello all my brothers and sisters!!!! now I am starting the AOS this week !!!!! YIPPPPEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!.....so what things do I have to do that some people simply forget to do???????? Do I have to make an appointment for a doctors appointment here?

Yeah...I'm starting to read on the AOS as well because my girl will be here in a few weeks. I read on another VJ post that someone received an RFE and returned check for $1010 because he wrote one check. Does anyone know if you're supposed to send a check for $930 for the AOS fee and an additional $80 check for the Biometrics fee? Or do you just send the one check for $1010. And didn't this same outfit just pillage us out of $455???

Depends on how she legally wants her name to be.

In my case, my wife used her married name on all forms. Her Philippine passport and SSN card had her married name, too. This will make the process much smoother, IMO.

We sent one check in the amount of $1,010. It was cashed one week later.

I wouldn't send a separate check for the biometrics.

I-485 instructions state: You may submit one check or money order for both the application and biometric fees, for a total of $1010.

Congrats on your wedding!! Charlie, we followed the guides and didn't have any problems with AOS or ROC. You will do fine.... Just make sure you give them everything that they want. Good luck to you and Pam!
