Hey guys me again

I have asked this previously but I was just curious has anyone here been at one point denied entry into the states and how was it brought up at the interview?

I was not banned for any point in time I am just curious if anyone had a similar situation

They just asked me why I was denied entry at the border (even though I knew THEY knew why). I told them honestly and confidently, and said that "now that I have a better understanding of the immigration process, I realise the error in my thinking". And the CO was happy with that!

Finds, and shall find, me unafraid.

if you don't mind me asking why were you denied.

I was denied because of lack of ties.

I've been denied at the border.

They ended up figuring out that I was going to go to the US and stay (Because I didnt know better at the time, and I didnt exactly tell the truth right away) and denied me for that. I had a whole write up for it and everything that I had to sign.

They asked at the interview why I got denied and told them. It had no bearing on me getting my K1.

I was denied because I tried to "omit" the fact that I was married to a US citizen (dumb in hindsight, but I panicked). Mine was waaay more serious than yours, as they yanked my B1/B2 visitors visa based on misrepresentation. So you have nothing to worry about!

I got written up and fingerprinted as well.

I did have a one way ticket but I was NOT planning on staying.

We got some bad info and thought that would no be a problem.

Plus me not being employed at the time wasn't a good addition either

You will be 100% ok MeggyMo. You might be asked about it at the interview, just be honest with the CO and let him know you thought you would be ok at the time, but understand why they didnt let you through.

The ONLY reason they ask (because they already know the answer) is to see if you are willing to lie to them. If you answer truthfully, you will be ok :)

Thanks a bunch for the reassurance.

I am pretty sure the customs people thought I was trying to immigrate there at the time though.

But it did not say anything like that in my write up that they gave me

my write up sounded AWEFUL... Lemme see if I can find it...

AAhh.. here it is!! Mugshot and all..

"Subject was coming to the states under a B1-B2 visa to visit a "friend". Subject had been in the states for 5 months in 2005 and was going to the states for another 3. Secondary bag inspection revealed that subject is married to a USC (hubbys name), and is pregnant with his child. Subject gave false information about visiting a friends, subject claims that she has never worked in the states. CLAIMS and CIS are negative. Subject has no criminal history. Subjects visa has been cancelled and she has been told that she now has to be petitioned for by her husband".

It was SCARY!!!!! They totally found my marriage certificate in my suitcase and GRILLED my @SS!! So believe me MeggyMo, you are sooooo ok with your denial.

I pretty much did the same thing as you, same circumstances, Meggy.

You'll be fine.

My write up was laughable. There was alot of spelling and grammar mistakes. He even got my birthday wrong, but didnt bother to fix it.

Oh my god wow.

That does sound terrifying!

I know about the mugshot JEEZE after they told me I was denied of course I was a mess and crying and they were like yea we need to take your picture.

Worst photo of me ever! As she was taking the picture she said ok big smile.

I was so not in the mood for her sarcasm.

The customs officers there were quite rude as well.

The one officer said and I quote "Ohh boo ###### whoo"

the other officer called me up and stared at me up and down and asked when I was due.

I may be chubby but I don't have a big pregnant belly!

So that was my bad experience but definitely no where near as bad as yours

LOL!! I was bawling my eyes out in mine as well!! Mascara streaks all down my face.. and then. because I WAS pregnant, my morning sickness decided to kick in, and they gave me one of those stupid airline barf bags to throw up in, instead of letting my go to the bathroom! He actually STOOD there while I barfed into the bag!

I hope this time around with my approved visa I can go prancing through my POE without any hassles!

Wow, mine was a breeze compared to yours.

I surprisingly didn't cry until I was walked back to the check in.

My fiance was with me, I heard him calling for me from the customs and all I could do was sit in secondary and wait.

Never did get to see him, he was told to go to where the plane was and wait.

What a terrible day that was. But, here I am in the US, and that day is all over :D

Hahahah oh wow!

Yea I bet we look identical in our pictures hahaha

I can't believe they didn't let you go to the washroom!! Wow that is that wonderful U.S. customs hospitality for ya eh

Oh yea that is exactly what I am hoping for too except I vowed I would never go through U.S. customs in Calgary again.

I live in Edmonton so I will make sure I go through customs there and I don't have a connecting flight to Calgary.

I do not want to run into the same people that is for damn sure!

I sit back and laugh at it now too.. I learned to never lie to those people.. they can smell it on you!! They didnt have to be so mean about it, but it was pretty boneheaded of me to not tell the truth either!
