What to do after NOA 1 to get ready for an interview?

Dear friends,

We filed our I 129 F package on March 8th and received NOA1 shortly. Now, we're waiting for NOA2. Do you think it makes sense for me to obtain police records now ? They are valid only 3 months in Armenia and take about a week or two to obtain. Also, when should I start going through my medical ? And what other forms should I start preparing ? My fiance started to fill AFS.

I appreciate your support.

Thank you.

If their police certificates are only good for 3 months, then I'd wait a bit closer to the time you're expecting NOA2 - if not the moment you receive the NOA2. It'll take a little time to get your case from the service center to the NVC and on to the consulate. Unless Armenia are very slow with turning them around - in which case, maybe apply a few weeks before you're expecting NOA2.

You can always start getting your vaccinations in line from your regular doctor, but you can't have the medical (or even schedule it) until you have a consular case number from the NVC.

Read the K1 flowchart on this site - its very helpful in laying out the next steps.

I'll move this thread to the K1 progress forum so you can start seeing timelines of others who have filed around the same time as you. May be helpful in your planning.
