Hi,

Granting that i will have my visa tomorrow, i will book my ticket right after I checked the package so that I can get a flight the next day.

I will be having 2 checked in bags and my question is, do I have to make a list of the stuffs I have on the bags?

Any tips/advice esp to those who POE'd at Pearson will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Thunder.. I dont have advice for you.. But I want you to know that I am using up all my happy thoughts for you!! I sure hope it is your Visa!!!!!! (F)

Invictus..

Out of the night that covers me,

Black as the Pit from pole to pole,

I thank whatever gods may be

For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance

I have not winced nor cried aloud.

Under the bludgeonings of chance

My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Beyond this place of wrath and tears

Looms but the Horror of the shade,

And yet the menace of the years

Finds, and shall find, me unafraid.

It matters not how strait the gate,

How charged with punishments the scroll.

I am the master of my fate:

I am the captain of my soul.

No.

I was not asked for anything other than my package of forms.

They prob wont care, but it can't hurt o have some sort of itemized list! Easier to do at home in a peaceful manner then be rushed at the airport!! But many cross at land POE's without any type of list just fine!!

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

I agree with Flames -- they likely won't ask you what's in the bags... but it wouldn't hurt to just give a list with a very general description of what is in your luggage. When I POE'd, I wrote: Bag 1 - clothes, shoes, cooking ware, Bag 2: plates, etc.

Finally married... and still married... ;)

I did not have a list, but I had my bags thoroughly searched in secondary and even if I did have a list, I think I still would've been searched. I had 3 large bags full of only clothes, shoes and purses basically. They didn't really give me a hard time, just felt like searching me.... I think it was a slow day when I went through.

Removing Conditions

Sent package to VSC - 8/12/11

NOA1 - 8/16/11

Wow - you travel lightly :)

I doubt you need a list and it's not something they couldn't check by opening your 2 measly bags right then and there. You are hardly bringing the kitchen sink.
