I have been reading on here that interviews are scheduled on the second week of each month is that a correct statement does anyone know for sure?

Yes they are done normally during the second week of the month. Some consulates are different...there is no "hard and set" rule in this. You could still get an interview toward the end of the month too... So, when did you send your IV package back?

Removal of conditions Journey

16 March 2012 Sent I-751 package from Aviano AB, Italy.

29 March 2012 Received everything back...wrong fee. thought we didn't have to pay biometrics since we were sending fingerprint cards and passport photos.

30 March 2012 Sent everything out again from Aviano AB, Italy.

10 April 2012 Check cashed

17 April 2012 Received NOA1 dated 6 April.

06 Dec 2012 Received 10 yr green card. Letter said it was approved 28 November 2012.

Some consulates also set dates at the end of the month, however, that's usually for the NEXT month.

So interviews set during 26-30 April, will be for early June.

03/27/2009: Engaged in Ithaca, New York.
08/17/2009: Wedding in Calcutta, India.
09/29/2009: I-130 NOA1
01/25/2010: I-130 NOA2
03/23/2010: Case completed.
05/12/2010: CR-1 interview at Mumbai, India.
05/20/2010: US Entry, Chicago.
03/01/2012: ROC NOA1.
03/26/2012: Biometrics completed.
12/07/2012: 10 year card production ordered.

09/25/2013: N-400 NOA1

10/16/2013: Biometrics completed

12/03/2013: Interview

12/20/2013: Oath ceremony

Is it fair to say that most people get a date 6 weeks ahead from the date their case completes at NVC?

03-29-2010 - NVC Case Number assigned

04-20-2010 - AOS Package Received at NVC

05-05-2010 - IV Package Received at NVC

05-19-2010 - NVC Case Completed - Sign In Fail

05-25-2010 - Interview Date Assigned.

Consulate:

07-19-2010 - Interview at New Delhi - Approved!

07-20-2010 - Visa Package collected from VFS

07-26-2010 - POE at Washington DC

08-19-2010 - Welcome Letter Received - Tracking Number reveals that GC was ordered on August 16

08-23-2010 - Applied for SSN at SSA

08-30-2010 - GC, SSA Card Arrive in Mailbox

That was exactly our situation. We received notification of our interview at the end of a month for 6 weeks later. How long you wait for an interview will depend on how busy your particular embassy/consulate is.

I know a bunch of people who only have 3 weeks notice for the interview.

If you're prepared with your evidence, 3 weeks is enough time to organize everything and get your medical done.

I have about 7 weeks from my date assignment to my actual interview date. It seems like far too much time to me. I'm ready to get this show on the road.

Not always correct. My friend had her interview in 1st week of Feb.

04/07/10 - Sent I-130

04/09/10 - Delivered

04/15/10 - NOA 1

04/16/10 - Check Cashed

04/19/10 - Touched

09/27/10 - Touched

09/28/10 - Approved, Received text, email at 8:00am, PST
