Kevin, if Merlaine is feeling overwhelmed that week with all the scheduling. She could do her CFO in Cebu now and have that done prior to her Medical and Interview. I had Ruchie take a bus to Ormoc Leyte and then take the SuperCat to Cebu to get the CFO done. It was less stress on her having this done before the Medical and Interview. The week prior to the interview, she had the Medical and stayed with cousins in Manila until her Interview. She left Manila after the interview to go back to Tacloban and waited for the Visa to be delivered.

When it was time for her to leave the P.I., she flew up to Manila and stayed with a cousin for 2 days and went to CFO there and got the sticker. There are options now for them to get the sticker at NAIA airport. This option wasn't there when we went through this process.

This is just an option for you and Merlaine. I wish you both a smooth Journey and many years of Happiness!!!

Thanks for the replies everyone! Thanks Daruma :) She's been to the CFO in Cebu before too as a matter of fact. I thought she might want to do that too, BUT she'd rather endure a beating I think than to ride in a boat again!! LOL That girl hates boat rides!! We had to take that same trip to the embassy in Cebu and she was NOT happy!!:rofl: Neither was I really but the boat was the good part - the bus and the van about killed me with their 6" of leg room. I'm 6'3" and it was MISERABLE!!

Well Kevin, you got a point about the boat ride!! You are literally taking your life in your own hands! Anyway, I think she will be fine to whatever you both decide. There is actually no easy way through this. As long as mother nature(Period) is on her side, everything will fall into place.

Word of caution!! Ruchies CFO experience wasn't too good. She had all the documents that they wanted except 2 letters from the Hospices here that took care of my former wives that died of cancer. They had a problem with the dates that the Doctors signed the Death Certificates. I felt like I was being accused of their deaths. I was majorly pissed after all of this. Finally gave them what they wanted and then she got the CFO certificate. Just make sure you have all the required documents for CFO. Don't want anybody to go through that!!!!
