Hello, guys!

I wanted some clarification. I didn't make enough to file for income tax last year, as I was a student and working part time. So I wrote a statemnet sayinng that for my I-34(I have a co sponsor) so my quesiton is in the part that says state your income last year.What should I put? I have an idea on how much I made roughly but I dont have way to prove this since I dont have the december pay stub. I have ones near the end of the yers but not that last one. So, I should put in the statemnt what I roughly made? or just leave it at bank? I'm worried about this one

a w-2 is a document that all companies give their employees after the year.. it shows all wages earned in that year plus taxes paid. A big definition can be found here

The beneficiary is not required to submit a w-2, only the petitioner...

you should be able to request a new W2 from your employer...

they might fax the info to so you get it quickly

We do switch to type (Laura again) and I do know I don't have to show anything as the beneficiary, I was just curious as to what it is.

A w2 is the form that you receive from your employer that shows all your financial and tax information for the year. It show gross pay,how much you paid in federal taxes, state taxes, city taxes,etc.. You need this to file your tax return for the year. As far as getting one if your fiance doesn't have his to call the IRS and request a new one. Unfortunatley this can take awhile. Good luck!! If you have more questions let me know!

I am not really familiar with a cosponsor but i would think that he would need it anyway for the evidence that he doesn't make enough. The government would want to see how uch he made regardless as to if it was enough or not. I would send it just to prevent any hold up on your visa. Of course this is completely your decision but I would have it if I were you. The last thing you want is to go to your interview, get approved, and them tell you they need to see his w2 and you can't get the visa until then. but to be completely sure you can try and call the embassy.
