Hey folks,

My fiancee and I (I'm in Dallas, she's in Calgary) received our approval from the VSC yesterday and are very excited but we were thinking we'd need to do the interview and everything? Will that still be the case? Also, not sure if antyone knows or not, but if we do, will the interview take place in Calgary? and how long is the wait for the interview typically?

Thanks,

K-1 interviews for Canada take place in Vancouver or Montreal only.

I'm a bit rusty on my Canadian geography, but it sounds like yours will take place in Vancouver.

YOur getting a K-1 you have no visa till you are interviewed and passed the interview.

You still need the medical and the interview and more paperwork.

The only place to interview for K-1 is Vancouver or Montreal.

Please read the guides make sure you know where you are in the process and what needs to be done next, you are missing quite a lot of the process and more expences that will be coming up.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

Yep Yep Yep - still lots of work to do!

Last I knew it was Montreal or Vancouver for K-1 interviews

Assuming you just received your NOA2 from the USCIS, they will forward it to the NVC, the NVC wil forward it to the consulate, the consulte will send your finacee instructions on what to do and what forms to complete.

Then you will both have some work to do, prepare more documents, proof of relationship, fiancee will get medical exam, you'll prepare affidavit of support.

Read the guides then come back when you get stumped - see ya soon! (just kidding - if you read the guides you answer a lot of your questions)
