Hi Everyone,

We are currently waiting for our NOA2, hopefully it is coming soon! In the meantime we are preparing our documents for the interview and we have a couple questions about the i-134 (affidavit of support).

My fiance currently makes above the 125% poverty line so he was going to fill out the i-134 and getting a letter from his employer and letter from the bank regarding his accounts is no problem. However, our question is regarding the last three years tax returns. Last year he was in a different job and did not make above the 125% poverty line. Do the last three years tax returns need to show that he also made above the required poverty line in those years, or is it only necessary that he makes above the poverty line now?

Your responses will be much appreciated

Verifiable current earnings and letter from employer should get you what you need on income requirement for the I-134. Past earnings helps to establish income history.

I sent past 2 years tax returns, 6 months of most recent bank statements, 6 months most recent pay stubs, letter of employment.

Some consulates expect to see more than others but I think you should be ok. I'm sure you'll get additional feedback on this too!
