You both are very lucky to speed through this process. When I called after I read your post the lady just told me that haven't received any information yet and it takes 2-4 weeks. Thanks.

Well I guess there won't be any good news for me yet. I was also approved on July 31st. They aren't even saying they received it. How can the cases be so very different that they had already forwarded yours to the Embassy and still not received mine yet. Guess it's just the luck of the draw.

Thanks for you help.

Congratulations! :dance::dance::dance:

I am wondering if they update information in their system all day or just once a day..... I will for sure call back on Monday as well. I am thinking of calling again this evening after a few hours. Maybe I am just to anxious. I met my fiance 18 months ago almost, I guess I am just madly wanting to get our life on track. I have 5 children and they love him so much. My son turned 4yrs old last month and he thinks of fouad as is dad. He wants to be with him so much and that just rips at my heart. He asks things like mommy does daddy live in the computer? Mommy can we just break the computer to let daddy out so he can be with us here. The other day he wanted to run to dads house and I told him it is really far away and there is alot of water between us. He said well I can swim there! This is the hardest on the children. I guesss it is because they have all built a big bond with this wonderful man and him with them. Well sorry for getting off track. Maybe some good news on Monday for us.

Chery,

You are very close. Soon your case will be at the Embassy. Call them again tonight. You can talk with an operator live from 8 a.m. until midnight eastern, Monday thru Friday. If you don't hear anything tonight, then again keep calling them on Monday, 2-3 times a day. The number is: 603-334-0700, option 1 for English, then option 1 to speak with an operator live. The automated system does not get updated right away. I really feel for your son. Good Luck. Ma Es Salama.

I-130 Timeline with USCIS:

It took 92 days for I-130 to get approved from the filing date

NVC Process of I-130:

It took 78 days to complete the NVC process

Interview Process at The U.S. Embassy

Interview took 223 days from the I-130 filing date. Immigrant Visa was issued right after the interview

the 2-4 week response is a canned response. i agree with simple male, although i tried to call them everyday almost a week after my petition was approved by CSC. the difference however is that they actually tell you if they have received your petition from USCIS. dont ask them when they will send in your application to the corresponding US embassy, they will give you the same two-four week time frame as an answer, i suggest to call them everyday and ask the status of your application. i called and gave them my receipt number from uscis instead of the NVC case number that way maybe they wont notice that i have been bugging the hell out of their customer service line. ahahaha

hmmm, its weird, i havent received anything in the mail as of yet from NVC... anyone in the same boat?
