There's a phone number???

I think there is also an email, and I'm sorry I don't have it anymore, but I'm sure someone will post either the # or email for you. I got a VERY fast response when I contacted them through that.

Ahhh I can understand! :)

When we received that beloved email for the NOA2,(April 16th, 2009) I was in SC at the time, and didn't get back to BC ( Vancouver Island) until the beginning of May, and Packet 3 was waiting for me. Don't know if it helps with timeline and all, but it is pretty quick. Have you started getting things ready? You can get your police check, and proof of relationship etc. I think on the Vancouver's website is the check list you'll receive. Also check Woking Medical. I think that may be the only place for that, unless there is one in Alberta  I think Packet 3 will let you know the CS you can go to. At least you can get an idea of all the updated immunizations required for the US.

How exciting...

I remember all this!

I think I have most of the stuff ready to go.

I do need to get my police check done but I called my local RCMP office and they said I will receive it within 2-5 business days after applying for it!

I have my immunization records and all that.

I was really hoping to try and find somewhere close to get my medical done early but I doubt I will be able to.

I am so very excited!

Angelo (my fiance) is coming to Canada for a visit tomorrow!!

So hopefuly I hear something while he is here

I found these emails for you...maybe they'll help.

# Specific visa case inquiries - vancouverNIV@state.gov

# Fiancé(e) visas - vancouverK@state.gov

I think it was the second one I used to see how they wanted my interview set up with the medical. I actually got everything together for the checklist, sent it off and waited to see when the date was, before booking the medical. The interview was on Tuesday, and the medicals, (in Vancouver) are only done on Wednesdays, very early in the morning, ( 6:30 am) The interviews seem to be booked for 1:00 pm. So I flew from the Island that morning, did the interview, (approved pending medical), stayed the night, did medical the next day, took results to the consulate that afternoon, flew home that night, and the visa arrived on Friday. I only had to stay one night then.

Vancouver consulate is very accommodating, and they are all very nice there. I'm very excited for you. Enjoy your time together. :)

The same thing happened to me after a call with the NVC ... they gave me Vancouver's number, I tried calling it and of course could never get anyone on the line. I think each consulate is different and while certain ones do speak to the public (I'm pretty sure the one in the Phillipines does), Vancouver doesn't seem to be one of them. So, while the NVC agent has good intentions, it's not much help to you after you waste a ton of the time on the phone listening to recorded messages :P The e-mail addresses that Joyce just gave you are great and they have a very quick turn around time. There were several times during the process where I e-mailed them and got a response the same day!

Good luck :)

Based on your time line, I'm guessing you're tying to call Vancouver and see if they have received your case from NVC yet? Am I on the right track?

If so, try calling DOS- 202-663-1225. They are the wise overseers of your immigration status  They know when a case gets sent out, received by a consulate, when your P3 is sent and logged and when your interview date is when it's scheduled.
