They would do a little reconnaissance of their own. They have to be living under a rock not to know of VJ. I mean, I may be a little egocentric to think that people are aware of our support network, but I think that we are the prevailing site for immigration info and support systems? If CSC/ UCIS were smart, they would take some type of grassroots approach to nip inconsistant messages coming out of their offices in the bud and do something proactive. Maybe a post on this site. Of course, I have worked in government and i know that even the most simple of things are difficult, but come on CSC...get your act together!

I think what actually happens is they have about 5 messages that are written very generically on purpose. Then no matter what the situation is, they have to choose one of those and it will 'somewhat' apply to the issue. This probably was part of the IMBRA issue...OMG, we have to make a NEW RESPONSE??? What do we do now?

Sorry, just venting...us forgotten March people are allowed to do that some. haha (better laugh than cry)

From what I have seen their goal is to insulate themselves as much as possible. I think the reality is, they don't care a great deal about anyone's situation. Their job is to process paperwork, and I really believe that is how they see it.

In some ways I can understand it. I mean would feel personally involved with 100s of files coming across their desk? It seems a lot like the way people tend to get treated in hostipal emergency rooms. People just get conditioned not to be emotionally involved in the work that they do.

I am not making any excuses for the terrible processes that exist. I just mean I can understand how immigration workers can get numb to the impact that their work can have on people's lives.

In the end, their job is to process our applications following whatever stupid procedures that exist, and I don't really expect any of them to care a whole heck of a lot about how much it is impacting my life.
