So Milagros just called about scheduling her interview and they wouldn't do so without a letter confirming her appointment? Has anyone else encountered this? I have the receipt from the NVC from March 24th that they sent our petition..

Are there more restrictions when folks call from Phil vs US? Did we call too soon? They said she can't interview without some letter..

If you have an idea they have recieved your file already from NVC. You can email them from the USEM website with your MNL case number. A few hours later they probably will email you back saying we have your case file from NVC (not just electronic copy) and you can call to schedule interview. Then you call them at which point you pay the fee and get a PIN number you write down. Then you are transfered to an operator you can schedule your appointment. They will ask you for your fiancée's email address. At the end of the call they will confirm your appointment details. Then right after your fiancée will get an email with your interview appointment confirmation. She should print maybe 2 copies. This is what she will take to BDO for the Visa payment and also show for entrance on interview day.

Dont wait for some letter. The letter will say you can call to schedule appointment. You can just email USEM Manila from the website to confirm they have your NVC file and do the above.

Yeah...I just called and set appoint for April 27. She asked me if we received letter, and of course I said yes...lil white lie.. :innocent: But she said..ok, your file is here and we can schedule your appointment!! I think they are automatically programmed to tell you to wait until you receive that letter.

Hey Jared, I'd call them again and just say yeah, we just got that letter today. Good luck buddy!!

Speaking of getting Pink... How crazy did y'all get with providing evidence of the engagement?

Here's what I have:

- 20+ pictures of us together on 3 different trips + tickets/boarding passes

- engagement ring on her pretty little finger

- iPhoto book i made for her birthday of pictures of us together

- Facebook announcement of our engagement + congratulations from family members

I was going to have her print off a few e-mails, but I'm just trying to gauge if we need much more.. ??

Thanks again for all your advice!
