Just talked to my senator's office - they get bonus points for giving me the name of the caseworker and direct phone number. I asked her if checking into my case would yield anything more than the standard McClennan email response i.e. "please allow 30 days for processing". She said it could go either way and that she would make an inquiry. I asked how it's possible that they could get away with approving based on RFE return date rather than NOA1 date (not sure what kind of answer I was actually expecting to hear). She said the only time we can really make a big deal is when your petition received date is past the current processing date on their website. I explained that they have been on March 6 for many weeks now so that ####### doesn't do me any good.

I had also sent her Mr. Lonely's chart - I asked for her comments and she said it's fascinating but it won't do any good to get it in front of anyone at CSC. So much for that.

My problem with this whole thing is shaking the seething anger (hockeygal's words - they are SO appropriate) and the feeling that my own government has done me wrong. I know that a year from now none of this will matter but for now, the feeling of helplessness is unbearable. I know sending a scathing letter to the director of CSC won't bring me any satisfaction whatsoever.

And on that sex topic, I can and have been going back and forth to see my fiance - not cheap but nearly as difficult as it is for many of you. But seriously, I'm so damn mad at the USCIS right now that even knowing I can go see him next month doesn't help - that's how you know I'm in a BAD state of mind.

Hehe, Can I join the p/o'ed and rant parade??

WTH, I mailed my petition on Monday via super duper expensive USPS service on this past monday (07-31-2006). They didnt even bother to pick it up from the PO Box until Wednesday (08-02-2006) at about 5 am. So that means they had it in their little hands in the morning and they didnt process me into the system that day. Here it is now Thursday and Im still waiting to get put into the system. Come on this is crazy, I bet if it was the IRS and we owed them money, it would have gotten processed by now

Hehe, just kidding everyone some of you have waited a LONG time for a response.

I think its time my computers talk to their computers. :)

Humbly,

Ramos

Just so you know, your NOA1 date is not based on the day they enter it into the system. It is based on the day it is received and stamped as received. My receipt date was Mar 15, entered into system on the 22nd of March.

Also, if you were that concerned why didnt you send it signature required?

Come back and see us in October then you will have something to complain about!!!

As soon as I get my studio space I'm going to write a song about how fantastic USCIS is and I'll post it here.

Feb 29 2004 - Met on LiveJournal.com

July 25 2005 - Things start to get 'romantic'

July 10 2006 - RFE received

Aug 8 2006 - Congressional inquiry - told 129F cases are processed based on IMBRA RFE

Sept 20 2006 - Called DHS - Was told another RFE was sent three weeks ago

I just don't understand it. I love and miss my fiance and I was lucky enough to go back and see her again for three weeks last month. Prior to that, I was away from her for 3 1/2 months. We were together for four straight months before that. My question, for those that haven't seen their fiance's for five or six months, is:

HOW DO YOU GO SIX MONTHS WITHOUT GETTING ANY TAIL? Man...

Plus it doesn't help me that I talk to her about three or four times a day and she sounds so sexy on the phone.

William, sorry for hijacking your thread...I'm just getting frustrated too. Not about the process though.

7 months - no sex - still going!!!!!

Same here - 7 months without. Not even a touch from CSC since July 12. Guess maybe I could touch myself...
