DS-230 Missing documents for beneficiary

First of all, I have sent in the following DS-230 package last week:

DS-230 Part I and II;

passport bio page;

passport photos Qty. 2;

Marriage certificate;

Birth certificate:

Police certificate:

IV bill receipt and document cover letter

Exactly as the instructions on their website http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3731.html

Today both my wife and I received emails from the NVC.

The one my wife got says she needs to send in the Financial Evidence(aka the AOS form, aka I-864) which she hasn't done so, no question there.

But the one I got says that I am missing: Correspondence Instructions and Financial Evidence.

There is no information on what type of forms or documents are, and I did call the number on that email but the person on the other end was nothing but a dummy that only repeats the NVC website. Very frustrating.

So what the heck are these and where do I find them ? All the great instructions regarding DS230 I read on VisaJourney Wiki didn't mention these, did I miss anything ?

btw, what is an RFE ?

No Idea........of what they are asking for. But you have sent enough required documents as asked on travel.state.gov

Copy and past the email that they sent you. Exact word by word. That might give some more idea.

They are asking for your AOS package.

RFE = request for evidence.

Just send the I-864 package and you will be fine.

They are requesting the AOS package. If you've already sent it in, ignore it.

If not, send it out with the barcoded cover sheet.

If you have a moment, come check in on the Canada Electronic Filing topic at

with whatever timelines / statuses you have so far? The Canadien EP filers will appreciate it, much.
