What do you expect?

Kids in a candy store.

Last trip I made I met a 66 year old from Alaska living in the place we stay. On the beach and $500 a month with a free breakfast.

He'd walk by with a different young pinay about 3 or 4 times a week and disappear into his cottage for a couple hours.

They'd come out, jump in the pool for awhile, eat dinner and he'd send her home.

He seemed content at that time. He spent a lot of time reading in a hammock under a coco tree. He didn't hang out in the bar playing dice all day like quite a few expats did.

Hopefully his "dakine" hasn't fallen off by now.

2007-08-21Met through dating site

2007-10-12Hubby's first visit/met me and picked him up in Davao International Airport

2007-10-17Officially engaged to my one and only love hubby & formally proposed in front of my family

2008-02-022nd visit of my hubby and picked him up at Cebu International Airport

2008-02-04Went into the US embassy Cebu to get his certificate of legal capacity

2008-02-05Flew back together into Davao City and drove to Tagum City

2008-02-27Our awaited precious moment the WEDDING DAY!!!!

2009-05-013rd visit of my hubby and picked him up at Hong Kong International Airport

2009-05-02We went to Hong Kong disneyland (pretty amazing)

2009-05-03Flew back together into Manila and got his balikbayan visa to stay here with me for one year

Why's that? People in PI will keep popping out to many kids leading to more overpopulation and more bargirls.

He's just helping out the economy.

I'm only on my 20's as well as my husband so that will be a long time time to consider. I lived in 3 countries before I permanently move here in the US. I lived in Manila (Philippines), Tokyo (Japan) and Seoul (South Korea). I prefer living in Seoul because I love the food and the weather.

I talked to my husband about retiring and we don't like the idea of doing it in the Philippines :wacko: Don't get me wrong, I had an awesome life back in the Philippines but I just don't see any reason to retire there. The weather is too hot for me. I rarely talk to the neighbors. My close friends do not live there anymore. My brother lives in another country. My parents will move here next year (US Citizen).

As weird as it sounds, I just don't get along well with Filipinos. Even when I was there, I was friends with foreigners :wacko:

Hahaha! This is true.

Even with all the air pollution, though, it is STILL cooler than anywhere in the Philippines.

If you want cleaner air, the coastal provinces are the best bet. Cleaner air, but warmer.

Oh the trade-offs... :)

and near tagaytay..quezon too sir!!! not hot, not cold too... but my place here during the month of nov. to early feb. the weather too is cold like small little baguio.. no pollution.. clear and blue sky, with green trees... :thumbs::thumbs: :thumbs:

wish honey will love to settle here too in the right time... i really love my place...
