OMG I'm freaking out right now 4 yrs ago my husband was caught with half a marijuana cigarette and he paid a fine. It will be on his record do anyone know his chances of being denied?

Oh no - that's no good bajankutie. Dont freak out quite yet tho- take a look at the reciprocity on the gov page and check out how your husband can get a copy of his court records. He will need to provide that with his DS230 showing the charge was taken care of. I hope someone on here has been what you have been thru so they can give you a bit of advice. Hang in there

He was stopped and they found it in his pocket and he went to court and paid for it.

I think it was 5 or 6 years ago.

Did you'll state anything about it on any of the forms that were filled out for the visa application. I think this question is asked again on the d230 or 184 form. If he paid a fine there is the possibility that it will be on his record, also if he is asked at his medical and he mis state aboutany use of drugs and this shows up on his record the consquenses could be hugh.

Or it could just be all in the wash and it slides pass, but I will tell you that it seems that the Jamaican embassy does refuse more visa for drug use, than any other country I had read about here on VJ. WHY????? we don't even have to point out the obvious. Is it fair, no one says life must be fair.

I would get the PC, before I contuine with anymore steps of this process, then from there I would plan my next steps.
