Inclusion of I-129F Cover Letter and Check

Hi everyone,

I've (finally) completed my I-129F petition and am planning on sending it out this Wednesday (once I've tripled-check everything). I've used a hole puncher on the forms with ACCO fasteners to organize the whole package. The question I have is do I/should I also hole punch the cover letter or should I just use a paper clip to attach the cover letter and check to the top of the packet? Obviously, I won't be using the hole puncher on the check. I'm just curious what others might have done in this regards. As always, thank you!!

I hole punched the entire packet. And stapled the check to the cover letter.

I just stapled the check to a seperate page after the application and referenced it on the cover letter.

I didn't hole punch anything. USCIS is going to punch holes it in to fit in their own binders after they rearrange (I have no idea if they are three ring or five ring) so I see no use in punching holes in anything. Probably doesn't hurt one way or the other to additionally punch the cover letter now that you've punched the other pages.

I hole punched the entire thing, separated each section with paper-clips and then used an ACCO clip to hold it all together. I paper-clipped the check and the cover letter to the section that held my I-129F with the check on the main top.

I hole punched everything and paperclipped the check and small envelope containing our passport sized photos.

I wouldn't recommend staples on checks - makes it hard to remove them for banking purposes (and it gives a chance to mutilate the check, making it useless).

Depends on does the filing at USCIS.

Paperclip would suffice IMO.

Yup, you're right. Now that I think about it, I remember seeing my original I-129F petition in one of those folders behind the glass in Lima.
