I am on the 'packet 3' step of the K-1 visa and in the process of helping my fiance on the DS230. I have a question about question #34 Previous Military Service.

About 4 years ago when she was a 3rd year college student, she was required to attend military training as required by the government for all university students. This lasted for about 2 months and they learned to sing songs, training, etc.

Should this be included in that question? Thanks for everybody's input.

This is normal for students, yes. I have a very cute photo of Yi wearing her uniform and she learned to even shoot a rifle. However, this is not PLA, so is not actual military service. It is normal during the freshman year of college to take this "course." I guess third year it can also happen. Wow...your petition was approved so fast! Good luck!
