just a nit-pick -

for DS-230 -

it's originals AND photocopies.

Not 'OR'.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

1. Yea. As long as it is from your husband's email address it is fine.

2. Of course.

3. Yes. Best to do this right after the NOA2. So the DS230 package can be sent as soon as the IV bill clears.

4. Yes. You can send them separately or together. Make sure you put the right cover sheets.

Sachi..I have read that the thing with email from a computer in another country and the thing about the ip address thing whatever..is not a good idea to do that..because they can see that the email is not sent by the legitimate country... is the beneficiary without fingers that cannot send an email?? come on you and I are beneficiaries and we have done our homework

I sent the 3032 from my wife's email, but i was in the philippines with her...best thing to do is to complete the e-mail from the wiki...send it to the beneficiary....have them send it to the NVC. The DS230 can be sent from the petitioner, but the beneficiary does need to sign it. Most people gather all the info and documents..have them sent to the petitioner so when it is time to send it to the NVC it will be faster than sending from the beneficiary's country.

They will accept the DS 3032 (signed or not) from the beneficiary's email address, even a new one created for them five minutes before, no matter the IP address. Trust me on this. Who physically complete's which tasks in the process is a personal choice for couples to make.

I am not talking about new or old address I am talking about the geographic location of a computer. I am pretty sure tha Nvc must do some checks to make sure that the person sending a choice of agent is the one that was request to do this is not like they will trust every email that they received. I am not an expert of this area but it's difficult for me understand why a person cannot send a simple email... The OP of this post can do whatever they want is not my case I just say hey ask your spouse to send it from his home

alright thanx guys really appreciate ur help. just to be on the safe side, i'll save the draft in my husband's email ID for DS3032 so he can just click/send it to them from there.

another question on DS230 checklist

* Original/Certified Passport Office Police Certificate for Beneficiary and a copy

* Original/Certified Police Clearance Certificate and a copy

aren't these 2 the same thing asking for police certificate?? how r they diff. from each other.

how old does the police certificate have to be? like if he makes one right now and by the time we're ready to send the DS230 package, it'll be outdated? i heard 6 months old will do it.is it true

and if he sends me the originals birth, marriage/ police certificates with DS230 then what is he going to take with him to interview?

Does NVC cares if i (petitioner) submit the DS230 on his behalf and not him??

THATS THE SPIRIT THAT I LIKE..YAYYY...

ABOUT THE OTHER QUESTION SACHINKY WILL HELP YOU BETTER AS MY COUNTRY DOES NOT NEED PASSPORT CERTIFICATE..I KNOW THEY ARE TWO DIFFERENT THINGS..

ALL DOCUMENTS THAT YOU SENT TO NVC WILL GO DIRECTLY THROUGH YOUR COUNTRY...

IN MY CASE MY HUSBAND WHO IS THE PETITIONER RECEIVES MY PACKAGE FEW WEEKS BEFORE IT WAS REQUESTED I SENT ALL THE ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS AND THE DS230 FORM SIGNED HE ONLY WROTE THE DATE THAT WAS SENT.. AND EVERYTHING IS OK..

Perhaps they do check the IP address but I kind of find that hard to believe. I actually filled out the email (ds-3032) myself on my husband's email address and sent it out to him AND CC it to myself so that way they would have both address attached to the email. I did it here in Florida while he was in Egypt.

We didn't have any problem with that. They accepted it just fine.

ok i understood the DS3032 part

now i have a question about the police certificate which my husband will get. what is Passport Office Police certificate???

how old the police cert. can be? like i know it'll take him 2 weeks or so to get the cert. but i just want him to mail out the DS230 package to me right now (i haven't even received my NOA2 yet lolz) i'll upgrade my petition after my oath ceremony on april 1st. so i'm hoping the case process will get faster after that.
