2 Naturalization interview letters

Hi all,

Last Friday, March 19, I've had my Naturalization interview and passed. The officer couldn't give me an answer yet since my 3 year anniversary won't be until another week from now. But, he said, there are no problems with your case so after your 3 year anniversary you will receive a letter for the oath.

On the same day as my interview, March 19, an RFE was sent out to me which I received today. It turned out that it's the same invite for the Naturalization interview, but now for the date of April 30 2010. It was exact the same letter that I received for my March 19 interview.

Can I assume this was sent out as an error? Anyone else have experienced this?

Well that's unusual. I've heard of two finger print notices but not two N400 interviews.

Any chance you can make an infopass or get a hold of the interviewing IO and ask about this? Maybe they meant this as an Oath notice and not Interview one.

It makes me just think it's an error since the other interview invite letter was sent out the same day as I was doing the actual naturalization interview.

I called them and they said I will receive a written answer in the mail within 30 days :)

I guess I just have to wait and hope I'll receive the oath letter before that time.

You can get an infopass and see what they say. Otherwise wait and see.

Good luck and keep us posted
