Morning! Work is on & popping today! Just came up for air.

Says who? Name dem?? LOL

I don't know about 500, but here are a few things good about living in Texas:

1) Climate - the farther south you go, less chance for snow

2) Diversity - I've lived in (New Orleans) Louisiana, (Norman) Oklahoma, & (Austin/Houston) Texas. Texas by far is the most diverse, at least in the cities I've lived.

3) Cost of living - cheaper than east and west coasts by far

4) Proximity to cruise ports / Caribbean. Though expensive, I love having a 3 hr direct flight to JA from here. Plus if you're going on a cruise, you don't have added cost of airfare: just drive down to Galveston (about 1 hr from Houston)

Can I just buy a box of Hamburger helper and some hamburger and be done with it?

I haven't had Hamburger Helper in a good 15-20 years. Next time it goes on sale or I get a coupon, I'll try it out.

That's what I love about St. Louis, Nat....

Cost of living is really good here. I freak out at the cost of housing some of you talk about and your commutes

We are a big city with a small town mentality. Everyone pretty much knows everyone.

Good free schools and a huge private, mostly Catholic, school system.

Lots of free stuff to do.....landmarks, the zoo, science center, museums. And always some sort of festival to go to.

Diverse.

Rivers and great parks. Forest Park rivals Central Park in NY.

OK, the weather sucks but you get used to it. It sometimes changes hourly. Winters are not really bad. Lately, we've had only a couple weeks of snow really. Summers can be so freakin' hot and humid though and seem to last forever.

BASEBALL CARDINALS!!!!!!!

And of course...............Me, Dillon, Shaunsgirl, JOURNEE........and whomever else I am forgetting.

Tell me something, girls.............how long is the very longest you would let your child go without taking a shower or bath? I mean even if you were crazy busy and there just wasn't time.

Edited by *JG*

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

You only get one trip

Wow, I haven't had HH in a very long time either. I make goulash and that's close to HH. lol
