What is Request for Evidence I just got this text msg from ucis thanksss

It means that something is missing from your petition, and they need that missing 'something' to continue processing your case. An RFE can be anything from a signature missing from a form, to having a document missing like a birth certificate or a divorce decree, or wanting to see more evidence of your relationship. When you get the hardcopy RFE in the mail, it will detail exactly what they need from you.

Usually it is no big problem...I got an RFE for a missing copy of a previous divorce degree. I sent it immediately and our file was forwarded to the NVC the same day!!!! I actually thought I had included it with my paperwork because I checked everything about 100 times before sending it...but, somehow it was omitted. Just wait a couple of days and respond to the RFE as quickly as possible...they sent a "pre-addressed" envelope back to the CSC when they sent our RFE. Good Luck!!
