Does anyone know how long it takes for you to call nvc to get the case info and to give the emails to them?

Rich - I think up to 10 days. But start calling next week on wednesday.

I am betting on history repeating itself. Last year there was lots of backlog march - august, but then there was a spike in approvals in Sep and Oct. This is according to the graph on USCIS site. If that holds true again this year - we will see lots of happy faces in Sep/Oct but delays in NVC.

Great news, my wife and I have been accepted for an expedite through NVC due to my wife being in mortal danger due to having a stalker. They said Manila will receive it in 1-2 weeks. I will know when it leaves NVC once I get my sign in fail. Then we are off to the races.

Can my wife go for the medical exams now or does she have to wait still? does anyone have a list of doctors in brazil that is acceptable?
